The Badger State Trail starts in Madison with a connection to the Capital City Trail and continues to the Illinois border where it connects with the Jane Addams trail and continues to Freeport, Illinois.
The Sugar River State Recreational Trail runs 23 miles through Broadhead, Albany, Monticello and New Glarus. It was one of the first rails-to- trails conversions in Wisconsin.

New Glarus is also home to Primrose Winery which offers free wine tastings and has unique wines with fun stories to back them up – ask about their rhubarb wine when you visit!
